Support for schools continuing IDEAS Minimize

1. Focused USQ support and mentoring

  • Two one-day Facilitator/ ISMT training workshops (regional) Workshops will be responsive to school needs and will cater for advanced skill development for school-based facilitators/ ISMT and Principals as well as evaluation and future planning. 
  • One site visit from IDEAS Training Team/Support Team members* to provide expertise and support tailored to school's IDEAS journey.
*NOTE: A team of trained Facilitators from the 1998-2004 IDEAS Project will be available to participate in site visits.

2. Materials

  • IDEAS Facilitation Folder - a comprehensive resource including:
    • the Research-based Framework
    • Leadership for successful school revitalisation
    • the ideas process
    • making IDEAS work for you - participants' journeys
    • detailed workshop exercises and activities for school implementation
    • folio records for participants.
  • Diagnostic Inventories
  • Data analysis spreadsheets
  • Support readings with supplementary materials available

3. Continuous professional dialogue

  • Networked exchange
    • clusters of like schools
    • facilitator networks 
  • Hot Line/Hot Links to the IDEAS support
  • Website access
    • email 
  • Contact details for all participating IDEAS schools.

4. Capacity building

The opportunity is provided for School Facilitators to become accredited to join the IDEAS Support Team to assist other sites through IDEAS.

5. Costs

Costs for IDEAS schools 1999-2004 continuing with IDEAS in this phase will be negotiated with regard to the location and size of the school, and for a one semester engagement.
